Acknowledgement of Country
Fleurieu Ka Huna Massage studio operates on the sacred ruwi (land) of the Ngarrindjeri Nation. We acknowledge the Ngarrindjerri as the first people, healers and protectors of this land, the country, the skies and the waterways. We honour the AboriginaI philosophy - that people belong to the land, rather than the European doctrine that land belongs to the people. We recognise that traditional Indigenous philosophy has valuable lessons to teach us as we seek a more sustainable, healthy and holistic way to live our lives. We extend our deepest respect and gratitude to Elders past, present and emergenging and to all Aboriginal families and communities living on county today. We acknowledge the importance of continuing to hear from, learn and listen to and from Aboriginal voices, and commit to continuing to learn, grow and heal together.
Thankyou for being the guardians of this beautiful land we all call home.
We also pay homage to the Hawaiian ancestors and healers; the teachers and guardians of the beautiful art of Ka Huna Bodywork which is grounded in 'aloha', the true spirit of love- being happy with, and giving to self and others.
Ka Huna is guided by the philosopy of Ho'oponopono-to make right. The Hawaiian belief that the body, mind and spirit are one and that one cannot be their best self when disconnected from spirit. The act of Ka Huna is to bring into alignment.

Ka Huna: The knowledge of movement and stillness - the balance between fluidity and strength, breath and pause, work and rest, feminine and masculine, change and structure, chaos and order. Ka Huna seeks to bring about balance of these qualities.
We thank the Hawaiian ancestors for this wisdom.
